PT. Indonesia Wacoal Improvement

Factory Improvement January 2019 – March 2019

Some achievements of the mutual agreement between the Managements of PT. Indonesia Wacoal and their Trade Unions as of April 2019:

  1. In relations to Minimum Wage at PT. Indonesia Wacoal, some workers have been paid according to the Regency/City Minimum Wage, even though there are still workers who are paid below the applicable Regency/City Minimum Wage. The clause on Minimum Wages has been stipulated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) but the implementation is still not evenly distributed.
  2. Indonesia Wacoal has now provided a lactation corner and breast milk storage area. The lactation corner shares the same room with factory in house clinic. This has been regulated in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  3. The contract system still exists at PT. Indonesia Wacoal, however contract workers get the same rights as permanent workers. Trade Unions have successfully negotiated 2 contract workers to be appointed as permanent workers.
  4. Trade Unions have prepared a draft clause on Gender Based Violence to be discussed and added in the next Collective Bargaining Agreement.

 

Factory Improvement April 2018 - June 2018

Management and Trade Unions of PT. Indonesia Wacoal has conducted the first social dialogue, no concrete solution yet, however, will conduct a second social dialogue to follow up the results of the decent work check survey
